David Quancard



David Quancard was born in 1961 in France.

He is graduated from the Ecole Polytechnique (X80) and from ENSTA ParisTech (1985).

He started his career in 1989 at SNPE in charge of the development of the boosters of Ariane 5 and of the Guyana Propellant Plant (UPG).

In 1990 he moved to Regulus as Quality then Industrial and Technical Director. Regulus, based in French Guyana is in charge of the production of the booster rocket motors of Ariane 5. Regulus is an Italian-French joint venture.

From 1995 to 1999 he was appointed Vice President Sales and Programmes at SNPE propulsion.

From 1999 to 2002 he joined Arianespace as Industrial Director.

In 2003, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Roxel.

Roxel is an Anglo-French equally owned joint venture between MBDA and Safran, n°1 for tactical propulsion in Europe.

In 2013 he was appointed Vice-President Space Engines at Safran-Snecma in Vernon.

In 2015 he became Chief Operating Officer of Airbus Safran Launchers, now ArianeGroup an equally owned joint venture between Airbus and Safran for launchers activities.
