Anne Bondiou-Clergerie

Director of R&D, Space and Environment


A graduate from École Supérieure de Physique et Chimie Industrielles de Paris and with a PhD in Physics of Gas and Plasmas, Anne Bondiou-Clergerie joined, in 1985, Onera’s Department of General Physics in a laboratory dedicated to the theoretical and experimental study of the electromagnetic environment of aircraft, helicopters and launchers. From December 2001, she was head of Onera’s Orbital Systems department and then moved on to be Space Director of the Strategy Directorate. In December 2006, Anne joined the GIFAS (French Aerospace Industries Association) where she is Director of the R&D, Space & Environment Directorate. Since January 2010, the Directorate also handles any issues regarding the environment and sustainable development. In collaboration with the Directorate General for Civil Aviation, since 2008 Anne has been Executive Secretary of the Council for Civil Aeronautics Research (CORAC), which brings together industrial players, operators and relevant organizations to optimize the national research effort and reduce the environmental footprint of air transport. She also actively contributes to COSPACE, the French State Industry Coordination Committee on Space founded in September 2013 by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research.
